Women often ask if it’s okay for the brows to be darker than their hair color. That’s very Scarlett Johansson! It’s definitely a look, but it can be too severe without makeup. So when hair gets lightened, I do usually soften the brows a shade or two if they’re too dark.
On the other hand, when I darken the hair, I generally leave the brows untouched unless they are considerably lighter. In that case, I darken them only a shade or two. Severely dark brows can only be pulled off with the correct skin tone. But if you are a natural girl, you may not want to change your brow color at all.
If you choose to use makeup to darken your brows, powder gives a much more natural vibe than a pencil. Try to find one that matches your new hue or is slightly lighter for the most flattering look.
